David Pickett & Associates, a personal injury law firm with principal offices in Fort Worth, Texas, selected ROI Advertising and Communications to help give a new face to its already successful online presence. ROI translated existing content and structure directly into a new format, bringing a more professional, clean appearance to the firm. The development effort culminated in November of 2002 with the launch of a newly refinished HurtLawyer.com.
The newly redesigned Hurt Lawyer website uses a soothing color pallette, presenting the information in a polished, crisp manner.
While the existing HurtLawyer.com website had been effective in bringing in new clients, the firm wanted a new look and feel to represent itself on the Internet. ROI designed a new logo for the firm, chose typefaces, color and imagery for the purpose of invoking the desired emotional response from visitors to the website, and set to work on a redesign for Pickett.

With a major focus of David Pickett and Associates being the defense of those injured through the negligence of others, images of pharmaceuticals, doctors, automobile accidents and nursing homes were used to catch the visitor's eye. Prominently placed beneath these pictures is the 800 number the firm uses to promote itself - a major focus of existing advertising efforts. Contact information appears on each page, and much of the content directs visitors to one of several online evaluation forms that the firm uses to gather and classify information - another focal point of the website.

In addition to the almost complete absence of harsh colors, ROI employed more subtle design elements to achieve the desired visual results. The restrained, grid-based layout and the choice of classical typefaces such as Garamond reinforced themes of stability, calmness, credibility and experience - qualities essential to the public image of David Pickett and Associates. Care was taken to ensure the disclaimer on the site was easily accessible and fulfilled all legal requirements for a Law Firm's web presence.
