Since the time Prettyman & Associates first made efforts to build and maintain a website, the company had grown by leaps and bounds. Unfortunately, as is all too common among companies experiencing explosive growth, the corporate web presence did not evolve along with the company. Information presented on the website was clear, but unorganized. Navigation was confusing and inconsistent. The site was only telling part of the story; it was time for a change.

ROI began by gathering all the content to be presented, organizing it into a comprehensive, hierarchal site plan. Following planning meetings with Prettyman, the development team went to work, applying all their knowledge of design, usability, and web programming. Focal points of the Prettyman marketing strategy were emphasized beginning with the home page. Interior pages were planned to preserve continuity and direct the visitor toward core offerings. Current identity and branding practices were easily translated to the web. Crucial information such as certification numbers and contact information now appear on every page. Attention to detail is paramount in the development methodology of ROI, and the Prettyman development effort was no exception: the website was designed to display on monitors with resolutions as low as 800 x 600 pixels, and as images were highly compressed and used sparingly, the site loads quickly on a 56k modem connection. This allows Prettyman to reach users even on the oldest computers using the slowest internet connections. In addition, a secondary navigational menu, composed of hypertext links, makes the new site both compliant to internet disability regulations and easily indexed by search engines.
